Biography

Alex Thomas is an American Actor and stand-up comedian who was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles. Thomas first broke into the entertainment business as a dancer on the hit TV show “Soul Train”. When Thomas moved to the popular comedy show “In Living Color”, he met Keenan Ivory Wayans and his brother Damon Wayans, who were the producers of the show. 

It was here that Thomas began stand-up comedy… he was on BET’s Comic view, Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, the Arsenio Hall Show, The Jay Leno Show and eventually the star of his own one hour comedy special on Showtime called “Straight Clownin”. 

Alex Thomas was also on the writing team of one of the most internationally known and popular comedy series “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”. Thomas also starred in several motion pictures such as: Don’t be a menace to South Centra while drinking your juice in the Hood, BAPS, The Players Club, Two can Play that Game, The Wash, Just Married, Women Thou art Loosed, Why do Fools fall in love and several other films. 

Thomas is no stranger to TV and now he is on YouSat TV in the MENA Region. Look for big projects to come from Alex Thomas in 2021/2022.
